About The Role:
The Online Advertising Account Executive is responsible for growing/maintaining our existing online clients and will increase sales revenue through new business development. This is an outside sales position that will primarily focus on targeting local businesses throughout Milton, Oakville, Brampton, Mississauga & Toronto. At this time, this will be a commission based role – but with a higher than normal payout.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide our valued clients with creative and effective advertising solutions after conducting a proper discovery session to determine how to create value for on our site.
* This person will play a key role in the overall success of our organization and will definitely be excited by the mission and passion shared by management towards the future of the site.
* Prospect for new accounts including our competitor’s websites, researching advertisers in local publications, through networking and recognizing new businesses in the area.
* Create effective proposals for potential clients that demonstrate good value for both the client and our site alike.
* Assist clients in the preparation of ad/perk content and co-ordinate with the team to prepare for the web site.
* Negotiate rates with clients within acceptable guidelines.
* Attain and/or surpass sales targets, determined by the management team and the account executive.
* Address client concerns and escalate any issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Show true passion and professionalism when representing the organization to potential clients and the local community.
Competencies, Skills and Experience Competencies:
* Excellent understanding of the product, its offerings and how to assist clients with other marketing initiatives.
* Ability to build and develop effective relationships within the team and with clients
* Strong sales, presentation and telephone skills.
* A proven history of achieving and surpassing sales targets, always striving to acheive/surpass results.
* Solid organizational skills and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dead-line oriented environment.
* Must be able to manage both sales and administrative responsibilities.
* Entrepreneurial spirit/behavior that will allow you to learn while you are making good income.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Reliable auto and valid driver’s licence.
* Online advertising experience an asset.
